Adsense for your site

Once you have your site or blog set up, you will spend more and more time and money in it as it grows. Do you know, you can also make your site/blog bring you some income? How, you must be wondering. Google Adsense is the answer. Why Adsense? Well, it is free to join. It is easy to implement the code, once you put the code into your page, it starts to run at once. And, it actually provides some useful information to your site! Google is so intelligent that it puts only the relevant links or info into the adsense shown on your site, which turns to be added value to your content.

Now, it is the action step:

First, you register with Google Adsense. Opening an account is very easy. What Google requires are

  • A launched website with acceptable content and valid URL.
  • A valid payee name and mailing address to receive your payments.

Then, simply follow the instruction Google gives you.

Secondly, set up your ad. You can set up for content, search, referral, or for mobile. Content is the part most people would use to add value to the site. But Search is also great– it allows the users to search both google and your site.

Once you decide which type of ad you want to put into your site, you can proceed easily by following the neatly laid out steps

As soon as you get the ad code, copy and paste into the place you want to put the ad, you are done with it. Now sit down and refreshen your browser — and you will see your site with the adsense links.

OK, leave the adsense on your site, don’t click on them to see what would happen. If you do so, for many times, Google will punish you for abuse the right of publisher. If you go to Adsense forum, you can hear lots of cries on misuse and loss of the adsense account. You don’t want that happen to you.

The income from Adsense is not very much, depending on the bid rate for the links shown on your site. Be realistic, don’t expect more than .50 a day at the beginning. However, as your readers increase, your content becomes richer and your traffic booming, you will see increase in the income.

Adsense is a stable but low stream of income. I think most of us don’t mind about it. We do blogging or establishing a site with a definite purpose in our minds. If we can get some revenue by doing nothing, it is a good practice.

Take a look at the links in my site: when you see the ads titled as “Ads by Google”, they are so called Adsense. It is really not difficult to learn. I will go deeper in the future. If there is anything unclear, don’t hesitate to tell me.
